Last month, we launched a new show called What's Worth Doing (named after our newest deck of cards). Each episode shares one decision that changed someone's life for the better, and one leap they hope to take next.
Our first episode was with Renetta McCann who told her story of going from CEO to student.
Today, we're launching our second episode with my friend Samir Wagle.
What's Worth Doing, Samir?
I was first introduced to Samir by a mutual friend. It was the normal introduction, "I think you two would have a lot to discuss." Both Samir and I trusted the friend, so we decided to meet. Those meetings always feel like a blind date.
To follow the "date" theme, we decided to walk along the Chicago's riverfront. The conversation was fascinating — spanning everything from leadership to relationships. It was the beginning of a dear friendship.
Samir had found his way to the board rooms of large restaurant and food brands like McDonald's, Chipotle, Boudin, and Protein Bar. But he began to realize he was spending his days following other people's expectations rather than writing his own story. After a few leaps, he found himself restarting his career and helping people find their place in the world. And in doing so, he found his.
I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did.
