Futures-Casting

Course Overview

In our modern economy, the only constant is change. In this workshop, leaders learn how to identify disruptive trends and incorporate their predictions into business strategy.

Through interactive exercises, colleagues practice asking the right questions, scanning the world for answers, exploring the possibilities, and backwards mapping from the futures they’ve imagined to today in order to enroll others in their vision. They’ll leave prepared to tell the "story" of the future and test tomorrow's assumptions, today.

Course Takeaways

Confidently steer teams through periods of disruption

Right-size planning and visioning across the near-, medium-, and long-term futures

Use Future(s)-Casting to analyze and ultimately mitigate risks

Uncover opportunities to create value within and outside of the organization

Test observation skills to demonstrate why a diversity of perspectives provides teams a strategic advantage

Use the backcasting framework to not only envision, but also prepare to shape a future. Then, compel people towards (or away from) that vision

The approach and exercises really helped me with a framework that I can use for a range of work streams -- both big and small.

Our Methodology

Learn through Experience

Experiences are what change how we see ourselves and the world. People who thrive are curious, focused, have a bias towards action, and pursue ongoing learning.

Ei's methodology is rooted in the belief that the deepest learning occurs through experience. Each workshop addresses specific personal or organizational challenges and then cycles through the pillars of experiential learning.

We've helped thousands of workplace learners with our programs and products.
