Launching! Learn & Travel with Ei & Remote Year

Today, I’m excited to share an exciting project that’s been in the works for the past year. This May, we’re piloting our first in-person learning leadership retreat with our friends at Remote Year in Hudson Valley, New York. Here are the details:

First, why a learning retreat?

Over the past two years, individuals across companies and industries have been overloaded with a mix of new responsibilities and unprecedented challenges. The amount of pressure many are experiencing has left little room for personal development and reflection to learn the skills and mindsets needed to handle shifting roles. Because of that, remarkable and talented people are facing burnout and leaving companies in historic numbers.

Maybe you know someone who’s been in that position.

Or maybe that’s you. You have questions about how to level-up your work and gain a fresh perspective, but you've been "pushing through" those thoughts because of the demands of your life or work. But maybe there's a better way.

Throughout the pandemic, Experience Institute has been supporting teams by creating experiences that spark growth through science-backed curriculum, caring community, and meaningful experiences. After speaking with our good friends at Remote Year, we realized there’s an opportunity to combine Ei’s curriculum and facilitation with their incredible travel engine.

The Logistics:

Who: Individuals or teams needing to reset their leadership mindsets and goals.

What: A 5-day retreat introducing key concepts for Leading Self and Leading Others.

When: Monday, May 9th through Friday, May 13th

Where: Hudson Valley, New York

Cost: $4,450-$4,950 — Covers all facilitation, materials, accommodations, meals, and ground transportation.

What You'll Learn

The week will be a mix of workshops, solo-time, and restorative group experiences. Together, we’ll help you make the leap from:

  • Practice reflective processes for evaluating and re-centering around personal values
  • Discover ways to create a work and life that represents how you want to be perceived
  • Identify how to incorporate individual strengths and passions into your work
  • Understand frameworks to capture, make, and share authentic, memorable stories that move an audience to action
  • Learn the brain science for setting and reaching goals, and applying them to yourself and/or those you lead
  • Enjoy a range of refreshing experiences in nature, chef-prepared meals, and the company of diverse leaders and peers
