Today, I’m really excited to share one of my favorite announcements to make: we’re adding to the Ei team. But before we get to that, a little backstory.

A Good Bad Workplace

Years ago I had a job that I (mostly) loved. The role suited me perfectly – offering an ideal blend of challenge and sweet spot – and I felt I was making a meaningful difference in people's lives.

But the culture, honestly, wasn’t great. While my colleagues were wonderful people, smart, fun, and creative thinkers, the leadership left much to be desired.

My work stress stemmed not from the actual job, but from the constant strain of trying to interpret our boss' moods, cryptic emails, and active discouragement of new ideas. This uncertainty left the team unmoored and distracted. I realized I’d stopped loving my job because navigating dynamics took more energy than the work itself. When I began interviewing elsewhere, I prioritized how it would feel to work somewhere just as much as what I’d be doing.

A Different Story
Today, I’m incredibly grateful to work at Experience Institute. We haven’t just built a caring, collaborative culture on our team, it’s also the very work we do with companies: helping teams take leaps toward better work by strengthening people’s ability to manage, communicate, and solve problems creatively.

Needless to say, this is a special place with a talented crew doing meaningful work. Which is why one of the greatest joys is when we invite others to join us.
