I’m an ad man and an educator. I fell in love with stories as a child, when my mother read to me every night. I learned the power of a good story while working at Leo Burnett, as a VP Senior Planner, on iconic brands, like Pepto-Bismol and Marlboro, that are part of our collective cultural story. When I needed a break from the ad business, I taught English literature and writing, helping my high school students confidently and creatively tell their own stories. I currently work in the planning department at AbelsonTaylor, a healthcare advertising agency in Chicago, where I help my teams better understand patients and physicians and connect them to life-saving medicines. I recently took a LEAP with the Experience Institute when my own story took a turn I hadn’t expected.
